1. Who we are

Theory Test Hut ("we", "us", "our"). By using theorytesthut.com or the Theory Test Hut website, you agree to these terms.

2. What we provide

Theory Test Hut is a revision course covering Highway Code, Road Signs, Theory Questions, and Hazard Perception, designed to help you prepare for the UK DVSA theory test. Access is provided for a one-time payment of £21.99, granting lifetime access to the course.

We are not affiliated with or endorsed by the DVSA. Certain content (including Highway Code text, theory questions, and hazard perception clips) is used under licence from the DVSA / Crown copyright, but Theory Test Hut itself is an independent product. The DVSA takes no responsibility for Theory Test Hut, its content, or your use of it.

3. Payment and refunds

  • Access is a one-time payment of £21.99, processed securely via Stripe.
  • All sales are final. We do not offer refunds once access has been purchased.

4. Account use

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login details secure.
  • Access is for your personal use only and may not be shared, resold, or used to provide services to others.

5. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

  • Share, sell, or transfer your account access to anyone else.
  • Attempt to manipulate, exploit, or interfere with how any part of the website is scored, including hazard perception, mock tests, or your Test Readiness score.
  • Submit false, altered, or fraudulent information or documents, including as part of a rewards programme redemption.
  • Attempt to access, copy, or redistribute course content outside the website.
  • Use the website in any way that disrupts its normal operation or attempts to bypass access controls.

6. Account suspension and termination

We may suspend or close your account, including removing access to paid content, if we reasonably believe you've breached these terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or misused the rewards programme. Where possible, we'll tell you why. Closing your account for a breach of these terms does not entitle you to a refund.

7. No guarantee of exam results

While Theory Test Hut is designed to help you prepare thoroughly for your theory test, we do not guarantee that using the website will result in a pass, or that you will be ready for your test within 14 days or any other timeframe. The 14-day structure is a suggested study pace, not a promise of readiness or a pass. Your results on the real DVSA theory test depend on many factors outside our control, including your own preparation, and we accept no responsibility for exam outcomes.

8. £60 Rewards Programme

If you achieve a score of 50/50 on the multiple-choice section and 65 or higher out of 75 on hazard perception on your real DVSA theory test, you may be eligible to redeem £60 towards your driving lessons, subject to the conditions below.

8.1 Eligibility

  • You must score 50/50 on multiple choice and 65+ on hazard perception, in the same sitting, on your real DVSA theory test.
  • The redemption must be made by the person who actually took the test. You may not redeem using someone else's test results.
  • Your Theory Test Hut account must have existed before the date of your theory test.
  • You must submit your redemption request within 48 hours of passing your test.
  • You must provide a photo of your official DVSA results sheet, your certificate number, and a photo of your provisional driving licence for identity verification.
  • One redemption is permitted per user account, for life.

8.2 Verification

  • We manually review every redemption request. This includes checking your score meets the threshold, that your certificate number has not been used in a previous redemption, and that the name and details on your provisional licence match your results sheet.
  • Your provisional licence photo is used once for verification purposes only, and is deleted after your request has been reviewed. It is not stored long-term.
  • Where a submission is unclear or inconclusive, we may ask you to provide clearer evidence before making a decision, or reject the request if sufficient evidence isn't provided.

8.3 Approval and payment

  • If approved, your £60 reward will be provided as a direct payment via bank transfer or PayPal. If approved amounts or methods change over time, the version in effect at the time of your redemption request will apply.
  • We aim to review redemption requests within 10 working days.
  • If a payment fails because the bank or PayPal details provided are incorrect, we'll ask you to provide corrected details. If we don't receive correct details within 30 days, your redemption will lapse and payment will not be made.

8.4 Rejection

  • If your redemption request is rejected, we will provide a reason.
  • Where the issue is fixable (for example, an unclear photo), you may be given one opportunity to resubmit.
  • Requests involving fraud, duplicate certificate numbers, or falsified documents will be rejected outright, and your account's eligibility for the programme may be permanently revoked.
  • Our decision on a redemption request is final. We do not offer an appeals or dispute process for the rewards programme.

8.5 Programme changes

  • We may change or end the rewards programme at any time.
  • If the programme ends, no new redemption requests will be accepted after the end date, regardless of when your theory test was taken. Requests already submitted and pending review at the time of the change will still be processed under the terms in place when they were submitted.

9. Intellectual property

All content on Theory Test Hut, including course materials, design, and branding, is owned by us or licensed to us (including DVSA-licensed content used under Crown copyright terms) and may not be copied, redistributed, or used outside the website without permission.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Theory Test Hut is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the website, including but not limited to failing your theory test, delays in the rewards programme redemption process, or technical issues with the website. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the website will not exceed the amount you paid for access. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the website after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
